I did, it was really eye-opening to see such detail on a war which receives relatively attention compared to its massive cost. The segment at the end, with the daughter of the airship captain was particularly moving.I'd heard a few things about the tunneling and the mines, but always thought they were done as a few isolated attacks. I had no idea they detonated 19 mines at the Battle of Messines in an effort to blow apart the German lines. |
