Police report: Zimmerman battered, bloodied, treated by paramedics

Posted by Chris R16/R2730 on Fri Mar 30 20:18:29 2012

Unlike all the crap Jay Zee links to, this is verifiable fact. Zimmerman WAS injured in the mele with Martin. This is now beyond dispute:

Why? The cops documented his injuries in an official report. If you are alleging they are lying, it is your side which needs to provide proof.

Where did “battered” come from? The police report states that Zimmerman was bleeding. More detail is necessary, which is why we want the EMS report.

It matters a great deal. If Zimmermann can claim self-defense then he gets off or isn't charged.

Among the "crap" I linked to on Trayvon, was this very police report, three days ago. It states bleeding, but not to what extent or type. Only the ACR from the medics can quantify that, and if there was any bleeding, it;s likely to have been minor. Zimmerman was almost certainly NOT injured to the extent and degree he claims. His lack of injuries in the police video (and the absence of signs of a struggle on Trayvon's body), strongly suggest Zimmerman's self-serving version opf events is a bald-faced pack of lies.

Of course it matters. It goes to motive. It goes to a claim of self-defense. It goes to the question of which was the aggressor, or whether it was a mutual fight.

Sanford EMS Crew: Zimmerman NOT Seriously Injured At Shooting Scene

Posted by JayZeeBMT on Sat Mar 31 12:23:45 2012, in response to Re: Police report: Zimmerman battered, bloodied, treated by paramedics, posted by SelkirkTMO on Fri Mar 30 20:25:03 2012.

As I expected, the EMS crew that examined George Zimmerman found no serious injuries. The medics, called for Trayvon's gunshot wound, actually cancelled a second ambulance from coming to the scene, which would have been for Zimmerman. Their ACR, according to published reports, also shows no findings of serious injury to Zimmerman. An ACR must be filled out for every patient contact, even if the patient refuses transport to the hospital.

Are the medics now part of the vast, left-wing conspiracy to make Zimmerman the aggressive, uninjured bad guy?

Zimmerman's injuries, if any, weren't serious enough for the EMS crew to keep the second bus coming. That and the fact they let Zimmerman go with an RMA, strongly, strongly suggests, based on my own two decades of EMS experience, that whatever "injuries" Zimmerman may have had, were superficial at most, casting serious doubt (again) on Zimmerman's very self-serving version of events.

Cops don't have the medical training like EMS does. I would trust an EMS assessment of Zimmerman long before some note a cop made. Something like "suspect bleeding, called EMS" is all they need to know.

Not exactly. The mortician was probably the last person to see Trayvon Martin in situ, before makeup prior to the funeral. His observations are relevant, as they are trained to find such marks in order to disguise them for a wake. He himself stated as much.

What expertise? You already admitted that the fellow's expertise cannot mean he's an expert on fighting.

Don't know about you, but I've seen lots of street fights where the "winner" (often the aggressor) had no wounds at all. "Not a mark on 'im" is not uncommon.

We're talking marks on a body and their source. We're also talking a person who takes a closer look at a body than some onlookers at a street fight.
I think a person who's been a mortician for x amount of years is going to have some expertise at what causes marks on a body.

I would agree were it not for the fact that this has now become political with the usual suspects on both sides using it politically. Since the question is no longer why did a kid die but rather what happened to the shooter, then it's reasonable to ask for proff that his nose was broken and Trayvon wailed on his ass and thus deserved to die.

That's why ...
