$540,000,000 |
|
Posted by JayZeeBMT on Thu Mar 29 19:48:17 2012 Mega Millions jackpot in tomorrow's game is a mind-bending 540 million bucks, enough to put you in the 1%. That sum is more money than I could possibly spend in my remaining lifetime. If won by one person, the payout after Uncle Sam's cut would be around $280 million.I would be terrified beyond the capacity for rational thought, if that lone winner was me. I'd nave to change my address and phone number, and f*cking HIDE from all the people who would suddenly come out of the woodwork. I wonder if winning that kind of money would be more nightmare than dream... |

I started a thread about this days ago.LOL @ 1% You even make Mega Million political. I am pretty sure that the top 1% in annual salary starts at around $700,000 a year. I know it's under or near $1,000,000 based on stories I've seen on MLB and WWE tax refugees in Florida. |

Since I know I'm not going to win I don't want to give the state any more money than I have to. I have NEVER played the Lotto since its inception. The only ticket I ever had was as a gift & I never even checked the numbers. That being said I'll continue to play the horses as I've done for over 40 years. You have a much better chance of winning and coincidentally I hit a $943 dime Superfecta for 10 cents earlier today at Aqueduct. |

I don't know about that multi-state whatever, but the other lotto jackpots reset pretty frequently. Lot of people seem to be winning. Along with those rip-off little raffles they do down south. The lotto is disappointing though, Least the scratch offs have fun.... or if you're lucky enough to live around blackjack or bingo.... |
