I especially love the part where all of you dude just love to single out "people of color" to make your stand..conveniently forgetting how many MORE Whites are on the dole than blacks/Latino/etc..not that it matters much to us.. I find it so funny that this party is willing to make such a show of THIS..all under the guise of helping "us" become independent/LESS DEPENDENT on GOVERNMENT AIDE..but over the years continuously cut those very programs that where in place to make that happen...nor are they willing to give mandates for a LIVING WAGE which would keep in step with inflation. You ARE right about one thing..Blacks SHOULD get off the dole..Should become sufficient..SHOULD take care of our families..WITHOUT government assistance..Should have local market places that cater to our tastes..local department stores..Invest/REINVEST in our neighborhoods etc just for our own satisfaction...and NOT due to some government[particularly the REPUBLICAN PARTY IDEA of what that should be] prodding. That being as it may..is an uphill battle due to the sever lack of AFROCENTRIC "get up and go" by SOME of our young people..those who can't see life beyond the hood,so to speak. That being said..I commend all of you for your boldness..feeling the need to "correct" the ills of our society.. One thing,though..If you folks have a burning desire to do this..I also would like for you to address YOUR OWN SOCIAL ILLS BEFORE addressing someone else problems. That way ..it wont look like you are a bunch of bitter bitches crying into your coffee/latte mocha. |
