It was used by the Egyptians as late as the 3rd century BCE( Which may explain the shape of pyramids)and by the Chinese as late as the 5th century CE. Perhaps not accurate enough for NASA, for our purposes it represents an error of 0.04%. I see nothing on this venue that requires much greater accuracy than that. You may now continue. |

This morning, I read about Zhang Xu (c. 658-47), a Chinese calligrapher during the reign of Emperor Xuanzong of Tang. Mr. Xu was one of the Eight Immortals of the Wine Cup or something like that.
