It'll be dark out and fairly clear skies as the asteroid passes by with the sun hitting it. It'll zizz by much faster than the space station and folks will likely shit themselves when they see it zizz by. Then, the following day a "national alert test" which will interrupt EVERYTHING with a nice big FEMA logo on it on every TV and cable channel along with conservatard radio being taken off the air for 30 seconds so they can hear "the leaders of the world" say "this is only a test" ... heh.NWO all up in here ... someone check up on Olog. :) |

That's costing over 2,000 jobs in this country. |

Are you aware that the REASON why the NLRB (which is a damned timid agency) went after Boeing over that? Because they had the audacity to put IN WRITING that it was deliberately done in RETALIATION for "union activity" in Seattle. NOT because there was any other "business reason" aside from retaliation. AND they not only put it in writing, but told the media that this was the reason for doing so. That's *ILLEGAL!*FUCK Boeing ... (Proff ...) http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/21/business/21boeing.html NLRB is under judicial orders to NOT release the paperwork, but here's their site on it: https://www.nlrb.gov/node/516 ... and there's plenty of UNOFFICIAL reports on it from WSJ, FOX News and other sources you might consider "credible" on google ... |

They are still over-stepping. Now, of course since they can't produce the 787 in Seattle fast enough and because Boeing is behind schedule, I'm certain that the people of your mindset will be perfectly happy to see those 2,000 jobs go off shore either by Boeing or to Air Bus who is waiting to pick up the slack. Once again, it's that punish the big, bad corporation for being successful. Keep in mind that not one person in Seattle was going to lose their job over this.Perhaps next time it will be a high tech company from Silicon Valley seeking to expand in Albany. Maybe then when the NLRB stops that move, you'll get it. Again, regardless of the issues, the NLRB has no right to tell a corporation where it can operate. If you say otherwise, show it it me in writing. It doesn't exist. |

They're already plenty profitable. I wouldn't want to fly on one of those planes if they make them in SC (Luch?). The workforce there is undereducated, as the SC schools are horrible. Building planes requires a high level of training, and that requires literacy. BMW is leaving SC. Why? They were willing to put up with the expense of providing a REAL high school education for employees before training while they had tax incentives. Now that the incentive's expired, it's simply too damn expensive to educate and then train a workforce that doesn't produce well despite all their effort. |

Repairing planes also requires a high level of training and most airlines now outsource such work. Planes are flown to Ecuador and el Salvador for maintenance. THIW. |

The banned unions, sometime in the early 80s.I know a good deal about SC, my parents lived there for over 20 years. The public schools were abysmal, chronically underfunded. That goes back to desegregation, when most white families sent their kids to private schools rather than desegregated public schools. As a result, they voted down public school budgets year after year, starving the system. When BMW built a factory in Greenville, they found they had to educate their employees before they could train them to build cars. The majority of them were functional illiterates, incapable of performing the tasks involved with high tech manufacturing. Now that BMW's tax incentives have expired, they're leaving. It costs too much to educate and then train without the tax break to offset the expense. Even then, the workforce wasn't as productive as they had expected, and certainly didn't live up to the expectations after all the investment they made. They're moving to the Detroit area. |
