Cain Accuser Speaks |
|
Posted by JayZeeBMT on Mon Nov 7 18:17:46 2011 A Chicago mother has come forward in a press conference to publicly reveal the details of GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain's alleged sexual abuse, the Daily News reports. The woman says Cain physically abised her in a car when she sought a job at the National Restaurant Association. Her bombshell revelations put paid to Cain's assertions that he "had no knowledge" of any settlements between his accusers and the NRA, or that he engaged in any "inappropriate" conduct with the women. Cain has repeatedly characterized the allegations as a "smear campaign" by the "liberal media" and "GOP rivals".Kinda hard to argue that these women knew Cain was gonna run for President 14 years ago, fabricated these claims, and accepted settlements then, in hopes of ruining him a decade and a half later, no? |

Posted by Train Dude on Mon Nov 7 22:21:31 2011, in response to Re: Cain Accuser Speaks, posted by JayZeeBMT on Mon Nov 7 22:08:15 2011. Bill Clinton was a sexual predator. He was accused of rape by Juanita Broadrick, accused of sexual assault by Katheen Willey, hada 12 year affair with Gennifer Flowers and messed up Monica Lewinsky's new blue dress. The left "overlooked" this minor character flaw while trying to crucify Clarence Thomas for a remark about a pubic hair on a soda can. Herman Cain is not fit to be president. That said anyone can charge anyone else with sexual harassment. As discussed here previously, most corporations find it cheaper and more expedient to make a cash settlement than go through a protracted, disruptive and costly investigation. |

Not sure that I believe her---she should have come forward within the calendar year of the accusations. Congress and all 50 states should pass laws instituting a limit of one year from the alleged action to file a sexual harassment claim. And Gloria Allred as the attorney? The red flag is up. And a decade-plus is an awfully long time to sit on an accusation. At least with the cases that were alleged prior, they were settled around the turn of the century, and they apparently have moved on (or so they thought). This stinks to high heaven. |

Posted by AMoreira81 on Mon Nov 7 22:57:47 2011, in response to Re: Cain Accuser Speaks, posted by bingbong on Mon Nov 7 21:15:52 2011. It's not nonsense---if it can be proven. But an incident that happened 15 years ago and was not alleged prior has a mighty stench of putrefaction to it, and is pretty hard to prove, as one has 15 years t tailor a story. IINM, the other 3 people who alleged inappropriate conduct against Herman Cain came forward in the 1990s while it happened (and while Cain was still employed by the National Restaurant Association), although the cases was settled shortly after Herman had left the NRA. But the conduct was alleged to have occurred then, and complaints were filed then. They were settled, but that was long ago; whether or not it was substantiated and was the cause of Herman Cain's departure from the NRA has not been seriously discussed, but it should be, as I wanted to know from the start.Back to this new case: this new accuser doesn't pass the smell test...or the laugh test. Her complaint really sounds as though she can't get any (runs for cover). |
