Once I found examples you came up with an excuse as to why they don’t count.you posted ONE example, both the submarine and the warship were participating in the same event, a multinational event, which every country can fly their flags on. That is NOT flying flags "above Pearl Harbor" (for the 27th time). And the Muslims who died in 9/11 should be given the same respect as Jews and Christians And they are. The t-bar is no different than any of the other exhibits there. In the United Nations, there was a permanent exhibit of the atom bomb that was dropped in Nagasaki and Hiroshima. This exhibit included dishes, personal items, and the like, and it also included a statue of St Agnus that was that had fallen over when the bomb went off, and the whole back was blackened, but the front was still intact, as it fell in the dirt. That was an exhibit there, and it did NOT promote "Christianity" at the exhibit any more than this cross does. It's part of the history. http://www.un.org/disarmament/content/slideshow/exhibit/ THE PERMANENT DISARMAMENT COLLECTION AT THE UNITED NATIONS And since no other religious symbols are used in construction you’ve created a criteria that can only be met by cross how convenient. I gave many examples of items that may have been found. You attacked that post and said "so now you are saying they should be taken from the rubble". Well yeah, that's where the t-bar comes from, it's not like they are shipping in some irrelevant religious item from somewhere to profess anything. |

If Germany were our enemy, we wouldn't have sided with them against Russia after the war was over. The Nazis were our enemy. They were defeated. |

And because we are not at war with them, there's no problem flying their flag anywhere for any reason. And because we are not at war with Islam, there's no problem with Muslim buildings or symbols anywhere that Christian symbols would be allowed. |

The United Nations is not part of the government of the United States or of any state. But in this case it's a monument to a sculpture that survived the bombing, not a coincidence with a nearly 100% chance of occurring. |

This is true, but we have NOT defeated the Muslim fundamentalist threat yet, and truthfully, we aren't close yet in so doing. It's still a real threat. |

Because there would be no reason at all to have a Japanese flag flying randomly over pearl harbor, or "at the US Arizona", etc. There's nothing wrong with a peaceful ally, participating in a multinational event involving military war ships, coming in with it's flag on it's vessel just like all the other countries.Do you think an American flag flying on a flagpole in Nagasaki would be appropriate? However, if the day came that an American president came to Nagasaki for one of their memorial events (which hasn't been done yet, even 70 years later), I would see no problem if Obama (or whichever president) had his flag pin on his lapel, or if the american flag was exposed on air force one as it flew into the Japanese airport with the president. |

Yes, the UN is not the US, however, I do NOT see this statue as "promoting Christianity" any more than this t-bar cross is. It's part of the exhibit. |

Merely reinforcing that it IS a religious object in some eyes. Now go ahead and conveniently forget that I didn't take a stand on the issue other than to point out that a certain statement made was false about it not being seen as "a miracle." |
