I think I can safely speak for many of us when I write that all these gratuitous and petty posts about Obama and Clinton or Bush and Reagan are exactly that and accomplish nothing except for embarrassing the poster for acting like some junior high school pre-adolescent. It is hilarious how so many here can turn a blind eye to and parse and rationalize and otherwise explain away the same behavior that they criticize the other guy for. Man up and call these guys out for meaningful and deserved criticism even if he shares your political persuasion. I can count on one hand those who show the guts and fortitude to do so. |

I particularly enjoy the occasions whereby someone actually has a valid criticism and, without missing a step, many from the other side of the political divide will resort to pulling out the "yeah but" card. This tactic is used when the cardholder realizes the post they are responding to is irrefutably accurate but said cardholder still needs to falsely claim it is not accurate. The only time the "yeah but" tactic should be employed is when you are responding to a hypocritical statement. If not, then you, my friend, are a coward. That is my opinion and it is a fact. First he's reading the toast from a cue card on the table and then he keeps talking when it's obviously not appropriate. In fact every time I see him talking on this trip he's reading from a cue card. Cameron Brown or whoever their PM is, isn't reading from a card, but Obama always is. It's weird. |
