I've been emailing people I know that are in Afghanistan but are at a different base who have been calling people at Bagram.I'm surprised that Bagram is not on an email or phone lockdown. the people I've been emailing are Veterinary Corps people though and not Mortuary Affairs, PA or something similiar. |

Yeah.They may have done the stuff with the body and the journalists already but are keeping the journos on lockdown until whatever pre-planned procedure is complete and the military does a formal press conference, no doubt led by Gen Petreaus himself. If reports are true that bin Laden was killed a week ago, then I wonder if this info was withheld until after the stupid Royal Wedding.Can you imagine if news that we had killed bin Laden broke last week, just days before the wedding? It would have bumped the Wedding from the headlines and caused serious national security issues for our ally England. The Wedding was faced with threats of violent protests, until just days before, when protest organizers agreed to call off their protests. I don't know if they would have done so knowing that bin Laden was killed. |
