Most people buy a router and plug it in - all they know about computers is that you click on a mouse to play Farmville. The government needs to understand that this is an issue and investigate thoroughly as they did AFTER they discovered the homeowner was not responsible.I think my system is a bit more secure - I disabled the wireless feature on my router - I have ethernet cable running to every room in the house instead |

Yeah I didn't have mine protected for years, but did when Spider Pig mentioned something like this a few months ago. But since then I also bought a new router and protected that one as well. My old router was not only slow, but the main issue was that it was susceptible to interference from other routers and the signal would go out for a minute. It used to happen maybe once an hour, but it started happening every 5 minutes. |
