Posted by TUNNELRAT on Thu Sep 2 13:06:45 2010 I,m surprised that no one here but me remembered that on this date germany invaded poland starting WW2.two weeks later russia invaded poland.how come the world powers declared war on germany,but not russia? |

The Allies still thought of Russia as a potential ally against Fascism. War between Russia and England almost happened when the Russians invaded Finland a year later. Churchill wanted to arm the Finns, but they signed a cease-fire before the plan could be carried out. |

Same reason they don't declare war on "palestine"?Lately I've been complaining about WWII. We all learn it happened and yada yada, but it's so detached. And I don't know how many people even watch these Hitler shows on tv(I don't usually). But when i watch one of these old news things from the 1940's, or even the weekly Hitler news from the english papers, it's all new to me! But yea, I liked how they took over Poland with donkeys and wooden carts because Obama's deciples had everyone disarm, then ignored weapons building with sanctions and focused on their own sick domestic policy. Reminds me of when Bush talked about doing such a thing in a hypothetical sense in 2008, and Candidate Obama immediately made an angry speech thinking it was about him. Therefore it is him. In other words. Hows that Iran going for you all? |
