No they didn't they only killed 6 people, and the world trade center stood tall, we (the nation) quickly forgot about WTC thanks in part to Waco and definitely after the Oklahoma City Bombing. We forgot about Al Qaeda until the 1998 United States embassy bombings, but since that was in Africa we couldn't care same with the attack on the USS cole. 9/11 is what put that on the map because the were successful in what their objective was and it shook the core of the US. 1993 didn't shake the core. |

I wasn't saying it as if it was insignificant, but since the towers stood and the death count was low, it was quickly forgotten by the general population. Especially with the before mentioned events that happened after, to most people in the US those who did the 1993 bombing were some fringe psychos, not some bigger organized terror organization. 9/11 was symbolic |
