Posted by Olog-hai on Tue Mar 9 02:14:11 2010 Ain't enough that they're telling Greece to sell off its islands and other assets (such as art and historic buildings) in exchange for aid; now they're also telling them to abandon their identity, essentially. (Kinda hypocritical, given that they control the ECB as well, via subterfuge.)Have a look at this open letter from Bild, republished in the Daily Telegraph. Does the arrogant tone sound historically familiar? (Meanwhile, when the USA was the biggest creditor nation in the world, how much foreign debt did we forgive? especially to Germany?)

It seemed more humorous than a harangue. Well, if Greece wants Germany and the EU's money then maybe they do have to get up a little earlier from Monday to Friday. This sounds to me like a northern Europe vs. southern Europe thing more than anything else. |
