I don't consult polls to determine what my opinion is.I thought that President Obama's speech was substantively a joke (which is the norm for such addresses, to be sure), but that it was nonetheless a decent, possibly good, performance. As for what other people thought, that's up to them. |

I am not actually agreeing with those who criticize Rasmussen. |

How else can you measure the effectiveness of a presidential address? Why am I interested in the effectiveness of the speech? I said that it's substantively pretty much hollow, but good delivery. That's my opinion. I doubt that you're seriously suggesting that in order to find out what my opinion is about something, I need to ask other people what their opinion is? I watched the speech, I read the transcript, I formed an opinion. It's like going to the movies, only cheaper and with less special effects. E.g., I doubt that you're going to change your opinion of 'Avatar' no matter what other people think. |
