Fucking religious nutbags, all of them!

(Do liberals really believe this sort of stuff, or do they just publish crap like this to make conservatives scream?)

The Honorable Creflo Benjamin Dollar, the undisputed often imitated never duplicated leader of Prosperity Theology, dresses with style but The Honorable Al Sharpton has a better coiffure which means hair I think. Whatever, I give to you Mister GQ Smooth:

Guess you didn't read the article. Gotta get beyond those headlines! Jesus has nothing to do with "the prosperity gospel."

From the article:

THEOLOGICALLY, THE PROSPERITY GOSPEL has always infuriated many mainstream evangelical pastors. Rick Warren, whose book The Purpose Driven Life outsold Osteen’s, told Time, “This idea that God wants everybody to be wealthy? There is a word for that: baloney. It’s creating a false idol. You don’t measure your self-worth by your net worth. I can show you millions of faithful followers of Christ who live in poverty. Why isn’t everyone in the church a millionaire?” In 2005, a group of African American pastors met to denounce prosperity megapreachers for promoting a Jesus who is more like a “cosmic bellhop,” as one pastor put it, than the engaged Jesus of the civil-rights era who looked after the poor.

Creflo Dollar is an impressive guy, and Taffy is pretty sharp too. Even I watch them sometimes. But I'm more partial to Frederick Price. He has a Richard Pryor delivery going on.

Wait a second...Price...Dollar...is there a pattern here?

And once again, you fail to detect hyperbole and sarcasm and treat it as fact.

I had never heard of the "prosperity gospel" until I read this piece of shite.

But in all seriousness, you REALLY need to get out of the city and see "America" ... outside the Bloomberg/Peter King zone, they really DO believe this shit ... no joke! :(

I detected your sarcasm just fine, thank you. It is on display daily. Maybe YOU missed the hyperbole in the article's headline.

Glad you learned something from this informative article.

It can be hard to get used to how much Garay talks about money in church,
No worse than the fake rich greedy communists.

“we love the money in Jesus Christ’s name! Jesus loved money too!”
hm....uhh.....

anyway what type of magazine is the Atlantic? All the miles programs have that listed in their options. I can't find anything good to redeem my miles for.

Ah yes, Fred Price. He opened one of the early "megachurches" in L. A.

Built on the grounds of the former south-central L. A. Pepperdine campus, after that institution fled "the hood" for Malibu in the early 70s.
