Wrong again. It ALREADY has been posted. http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/66229-final-house-health-bill-filed-vote-as-early-as-friday-am The vote on the House's healthcare reform legislation will not be held until Friday evening at the earliest. The House Rules Committee posted the Manager's Amendment to the healthcare online Tuesday evening, signifying the final legislation as having been officially sent to the floor. The posting means a vote on the bill could be called as early as Friday evening, under House Democrats' agreement with Republican leaders to post their final healthcare bill online for a minimum of 72 hours before a vote is called. |

Which version are we talking about. Thus far I haven't seen the final as they keep adding pages onto it.I would really like to see the healthcare policy that one would sign up for, individually, or in a group plan setting that is about 2000 pages long. I think mine could be a page. Add into it the reimbursement policies maybe a dozen and a half. The rest are the federal medicare reimbursments, but to stretch that out to make it fair you have to add in grids of every procedure code, and that's more of an index. I wonder how many pages the loan doc will be when they nationalize auto buying. |

The bill was not posted in it's final version. Why is 72 hours so important? I'm an avid reader and I'd have a difficult time reading 1900 pages and undersanding it fully. If this bill is so vital and so good, why won't the democrats allow full and honest discussion? |

It is their job to read bills. Have you read every bill you ever supported? What a phony.I have read a lot about the bill and I have read portions of it that interest me or that I need to answer the questions I have. That's all an informed citizen needs to do. 99% of the stimulus bill was fine. |

I don't see anger in my post.Do you expect every citizen to read every page of every bill? Then why do we need legislators? The bill was posted. If there are some amendments in the next 72 hours, why do they have to be posted if people can watch on CSPAN if they are truly interested, and the lawmakers are in the room when it happens? |

I just do not understand why every obama-bill has such an urgency attached to it. So what if everyone was given 30 days instead of 3? Will that make the bill any less effective? I don't trust obama's tactics - especially in light of all the back-peddling on the stimulus results. |

The 1990-page bill has been available for a much longer time. I even posted the link here at the time. This 72 hour thing has to do with about 40 pages worth of amendments. Can these GOP congresspeople get through 40 pages in 72 hours or are they that stupid? |

Can theseWe are talking about a predominantly democratic body, are we not? But I see your point. The democrats need not read or understand this bill. They just have to vote for it. Strange, though, since last Tuesday, how so many of then are not so sure any more. As one person said last night, "If they had the votes, they would have voted on the bill." |
