Could have been 7-3 had Girardi decided to go for the appeal play in the 4th inning (Ryan Howard never touched the plate).

He thought the ball was not going to come back in as quickly. But he did the smart thing by slowing down so A-Rod could score before he got tagged out.

I saw that. Anyway,The Yankees will probably sew it up tonight, or in the Bronx, game 6. I'm losing faith in my team. The Yankees are too much for them.

I say throw Philly a bone by letting them win today so the Yankees win in New York. Although if they win today the Yankees can rub it in Philly's face (especially Jimmy Rollins' ass), hmm, tough decision.

Just because the Phillies play in the minor leagues does not make them a minor league team. They are the defending World Champs and know how to win. Throw them nothing. The Yanks need to destroy them while they are still ahead.

You are right. If Philly gets hot, specifically Ryan Howard, then the Yanks could have their hands full. The Yanks nearly got back into it but the key play was Madsen getting Jeter to ground into a double play. The emperor had no clothes on that at bat,LOL! The Yanks still look good to take it all being back in the New Yankee Stadium.
