Things you've never done in your life

What are some things that you've never done in your life so far? I don't mean unusual things like skydiving or mountain climbing, but the sort of activities that most people are likely to do at one time or another.

As for me, I have never:

1. Gone camping.
2. Fished from a boat.
3. Used a chainsaw.
4. Ridden a motorcycle, even as a passenger.
5. Fired a pistol or shotgun.
6. Roller skated/bladed.
7. Attended an NFL or NHL game.
8. Ridden Amtrak.

There's probably more, but this is all I can think of now.

I've done everything on that list except for the chainsaw. I find it incredibly odd that you've never ridden Amtrak only because of where we're posting and the traveling that you've done.

I've never...

1. Been in the Pacific Ocean in California
2. Driven or ridden in a convertible.
3. Burned anything on a CD or DVD
4. Done any illegal drugs
.

.

Damn, I can't even think of 10 things without getting into weirder stuff. I've done lots of things I guess.

I commute on the LIRR, have commuted on Metro North, have ridden NJ Transit a number of time, as well as trains in Britain and Italy, but for one reason or another, never Amtrak.

Never:
Ridden Greyhound
- I hope you keep it that way, for your own good.

Ridden SEPTA - Septa may have it's problems and issues, but it's an incredibly interesting system for transit fans. Highlights - just about anything rail, except the Broad Street Subway. I know that's a sacrilidge to some people here, but honestly, I find little interesting about it. It's 99% underground (Fern Rock is surface) - no scenery and essentially the same as any other subway. The Market-Frankford, by contrast, is elevated north and west of Center City and provides nice vistas of Philly's neighborhoods.

Ridden the following NJTRO lines; NJCL, NEC, PJB, PVL, PJL - The first and last ones are pretty scenic. The NEC is okay and the Dinky is just awesome in that it even exists.

Ridden an NJT Neoplan Suburban - Those are NICE!

Jeez!!

1. Gone camping.

Many times, although not in the last two years.

2. Fished from a boat.

I have a boat, so that sort of answers that question...

3. Used a chainsaw.

I last used one about 12 hours ago....

4. Ridden a motorcycle, even as a passenger.

Got me there, I never have either, but I drove a moped about 15 years ago, does that count, lol....

5. Fired a pistol or shotgun.

Fired shotguns, but never a pistol

6. Roller skated/bladed.

LOL, I used to do that all the time in the 80's.

7. Attended an NFL or NHL game.

Are you kidding me? Last August for NFL (Jets-Giants preseason game), and last February for NHL (Tampa Lightning)

8. Ridden Amtrak.

Last time some years ago, they were still using F40PH's at the time....

I can't think of anything right now for my own list....at least not crazy things like skydiving, if you want to keep it "normal" things.

Yeah, but most of them aren't "average" things like the original post said to stay. Of course, #1 is not an out of the ordinary thing though on that list. But the space shuttle, "doing" your teacher, running for public office are not really "ordinary" things. If we get into "weird" or out of ordinary stuff it's easy to make a list like this, but it should really stay at "normal" stuff...

I would count riding a hot air baloon as semi-"normal" stiff, so he got me on the Asian thing, and the hot air baloon thing too, I could add them, lol.

He still posts here very occasionally. I forgot his exact handle here, but is NSlantOnTheB or something like that. He usually posts about how bad the LIRR is and stuff like that.

"Ugly" Shea Stadium is an accurate description....1960's construction at it's worst.

LOL!!! I have to admit, that the only reason I had ever been in the Statue of Liberty, Empire State (or the WTC for that matter) was because every time I would get a relative from Europe visiting, we would "take them around the city"..... So I have been on those many of times, but only because for a while we were getting a lot of European relatives visiting.....

ESB 3 or 4 times. Always on my own.

Nope. It's a family thing. My Father had been to all 48 states back in WWII transferring troops from the east coat to the west coast via train. That's how he visited all the western states. Florida at that point in time didn't have any cities with streetcars, so he got to Florida last. I want to carry on the tradition, and that's why have never been to Florida.

I can't count how many times I have been on any of those things, but ironically, I was on the WTC about two weeks before 9/11. I actually also have been on the "Top of the Rock", also because of someone visiting....and the line at the ESB was too long, so we went to the top of the rock instead....I have to say, that the view is MUCH better from the top of the rock, I was pretty impressed, and that coming from a NYer.
I have never been to any of those things though "on my own".

Yes it was ugly. I remember seeing the Giants play the Chuck Muncie Chargers there, and the Yankees playing my Swingin' Oakland A's in the 70's there. As usual the late great Bobby Murcer had a bad game at Shea.

The TOTR is great at dusk. Great sunset photo ops because you can use the ESB in the photo.
