TThe difference between Ayers and Tankleff is:1)Tankleff denies committing the crime and the prosecutors cannot prove otherwise 2)Ayers freely admits he committed crimes; it was prosecutorial misconduct that kept him from going to prison. And, by the way, Ayers isn't sorry for what he did. |

The question being addressed was whether U of I should have considered Ayers' past when appointing him a professor, not whether Obama should be considering Ayers' past nowI think all of that ought to be considered. Not to mention put U of I under the microscope. |
