But the question was, would it be a problem if McCain had hung out with a KKK radical figure in his past, or went to a white supremesist church with a far right lunatic religious fanatic figure?As for Wright being right or wrong, I live in a pretty racially mixed neighborhood. I am friends the the AME minister who runs a church nearby (we met in a business situation about 20 years ago, and have been friends ever since). But when Hillary's people first brought up Wright (it wasn't McCain), I asked him what he thought about Jeremiah Wright, and he just shook his head, and was horrified. I have never met a minister as loyal and true to his congregation has this man, he's perhaps one of the best men I know. |

Tiger Woods was raised by both parents and made a point of saying that he is "Cablanasian" or whatever.Anyway I know mixed race people that were raised by single white mothers, single black mothers, as well as both parents and I don't see any trends like that. Most identify as either black or bi-(or multi) racial. There can be differences even in the way that siblings will self-identify. |

Keyes has practically turned into a black militant. Berry stood onstage at the Oscars and called herself the first African-American winner, even as the cameras showed her (very white) mother in the audience. Woods may joke about his mixed ancestry but everyone considers him black (he's Asian more than anything else). Speaking of Asian, there are a *lot* of mixed Asian-white children in America today.
