Also, Palin's husband is staying at home with the kids. So he's the one who failed his parenting job. If a male politician's daughter got pregnant, you wouldn't blame him for bad parenting, would you? |

If they have, they're no longer the working class. As I've said, I am in favor of raising the minimum from what it was before (the current minimum is $3,000,000. That is too high IMO). There's nothing wrong with rich families passing wealth on to loved ones. And even with an estate tax they still do. Why do you think you're entitled to it? Distribution of wealth is bullshit. When did I ever say I was entitled to it? There is nothing wrong with taxing a high-valued transaction. Taxes have to come from someplace, and it makes the most sense to tax the income which has the lowest marginal utility to the recipient. |

Also, if the home is worth 500K, half is not subject to estate tax because it would be owned by the surviving spouse. And if he's not married, why does he need 1.1 million in life insurance? So I agree it's possible, but it's not exactly a typical case, even for someone making 135K. |

Still, the IRS takes inventory of everything, including life insurance, 401k, retirement, and adds it up to determine their cut of everything over $2million.Life insurance is often calculated by a multiple of your salary. Smart people get the best deal. Someone making $135,000 with 8x's their salary in life insurance is smart. Gotta pass a physical to get it though. What's not typical? Someone making $135,000 having a $500,000 home? Having a good life insurance policy? Having a big 401k after 35 years with the same company? |

The current President.Chances are, if the head of police agreed to Palin's request to fire him, a court would have reinstated the trooper for violating state law...and would likely have forced Palin to do so on threat of contempt of court. Palin would have been on very shaky legal ground, if she had any at all. |

However, this represents approximately 0.7% of the mass of the protons which are fused into helium nuclei. And, yes, particle accelerators have taken two smaller particles and fused them into a bigger one. Unfortunately, the larger particle decays almost immediately. It’s studying the products of these decays that gives us insight into the structure of matter. And, yes, there is something more to this. We don’t understand, fundamentally why matter has mass. That’s why we’re looking for the Higgs boson. The previous large particle accelerator at CERN, the LEP, produced hints of its existence. But it was turned off so that the ring space could be used to construct the Large Hadron Collider, which is due to be turned on, on September 10th. However, returning to the subject at hand, all these experiments and particles happily obey the law of conservation of energy and the principles of thermodynamics. No exceptions. |
