But what is clear is that he picked her because she is a woman, and no other reason.There are so many groups in this country who feel that they have been wronged, and that by having one of their own in the White House, it will somehow make up for all that was done to them. That's what this election is all about now. Who can best energize their base to actually come out and vote. |

And now, I think that Pennsylvania just became irrelevant for McCain...with the real battle in four states I have already states: VA, NC, OH, and IN. This will just make Colorado bluer, meaning Obama must win one of the aforementioned four states to win (the 19 states Kerry won, Colorado, and any one of those four would be enough---and oh the irony if Obama ends up a president of the minority). |

BTW, on a related note: Iowa might go blue...and New Mexico is also leaning Obama...if Colorado holds blue, that would be enough, with Iowa pushing Obama over the top, even without Virginia (which I expect to go blue also, but would be icing on the cake), Ohio, or Indiana.Without the four states I mentioned before, but with Colorado and Iowa (plus the 19 states Kerry won), that gives Obama 271...and then add in New Mexico and likely Virginia, giving 289. I don't think Obama loses PA and the election by one. |
