Posted by Karl M, Ex New Yorker on Sun Jul 6 14:59:38 2008 My interest in model transit cars along with prototype subways, trolleys, and elevated trains both new and from the past are only a few of many interests I have I also am into collecting and eventually building plastic sailing ships from the 15th century and into the early 18th century, along with a few submarines from ww2, I'm presently finishing work on an 15th century Spanish ship the Santa Catarina one of 25 ships I won bids on Ebay. but when this model is finished in another few months my next model will be a 31" vinyl model of the Disney/Goff Nautilus from Disneys movie 20,000 leagues under the sea, it will have a detailed wheelhouse and salon with lighting, been wanting a model of this sub for years, Disneysub.com is a web site devoted to everything Nautilus from the film. so if any of you are interested this is the site to visit, what other modeling subjects are of interest to Sub chatters ? let us know. Hi Karl -You may have seen my O scale B&QT, BRT, Shaker Heights, NYRailways, Queensboro Bridge Rwy traction models and others at some of the local shows. I do have a weakness for commerical aircraft models, as that is what I work on for a living. That and model cars. In general, I like to model seldom seen or never modelled before subjects. Right now I'm working on an etched brass TTC W-3 work motor, a JetBlue A320, and the master for a resin cast '68 Chevy Biscayne. |

Jan, no unfortunately I live in Oregon haven't been in NY since 1990, and never got to see your models, as the BRT and the B&QT are some of my favorite systems, do you have a photo web page with your models ? I have some of my models at Joe Franks website, I just don't have the space for a layout at this time but there's a slight hope I may in a year or two.BMT lines...I'm thinking scale models, cars, trains, even painting as in landscapes etc, and yes even photography.
