When we got WWOR TV9 here in Western New York, I got a kick out of Lloyd Lindsy Young's forecasts,too, especially that booming Hellllllllo to such and such town. His son who filled in was almost as good, too. BTW, what has happened to WWOR. They had a real neat news team, too: Sara Lee Kessler,Reg Wells, Jennifer Vallope, to name a few. |

Rupert bought 'em ... had a lot of CLOSE friends who worked for WWOR9. :(Yo, PATTY from Wayne, NJ! Shouts! (she worked there too and is amused from time to time here) ... Joe Franklin wants a re-rack! Audio on channel 2, please rewire your board! :) Young was an absolute ASSHOLE ... that he's ended up in "Frisco" (a MAJOR insult, that word, to people who live there) is just plain delicious ... he was FROM there when he came to WWOR and pissed off all the women there with his chit ... but there's nothing like having your "meaty-urologist" being a complete asshole to get ratings. He may have been obnoxious on air, but when the tally-lights went out, he was even MORE of an asshole. :( Huuuullllllllllllllllllllllooooooooooooooooooooooo, Little ferry! :-\ |

Sara Lee Kessler remained at the station until 1993. In 1994, she was fired because she refused to work Saturday shifts, as that violated her Orthodox Jewish beliefs. She sued the station and its parent company and won a $7.3 million award in 1999. |

Bakersfield is a big drop off. We have his old backup on out here - Carl Bell. He does fill-in reports for channels 2 and 9. At least I think that Carl Bell was his backup. |
