I heard it FIRST here on Subtalk. Yes indeed, and I watch the news everyday. I NEVER heard the 57 states thing, and kept seeing it in posts with people saying "All 57 States", and didn't understand why people kept saying that. It wasn't until someone posted a link of Obama saying that that I realized what was going on, and that OBAMA actually said that.If McCain had said that it would have been in our livingrooms every 1/2 hour. |

His slip up was funny, but that flag lapel is funnier!I don't agree with much of what's on conservative radio, but it's often entertaining. Liberal radio is much less entertaining and a little weird. Our conservative radio in LA is fairly liberal compared to Rush and Hannity. It's more populist, I guess. If they think that a Republican has screwed up they'll call them on it as much as they will a Democrat. |

Liberal radio is much less entertaining because they don't offer opposing points of view. It's just one viewpoint, in rant fashion. Same with liberal tv like Olbermann. If you listen to Hannity, Medved, or Prager, they always have liberal guests on. ALWAYS. I guess the mentality is that liberals represent the oppressed, and the oppressed should never be opposed. So what don't you agree with on Republican AM radio? |

Mine will have to be earned by one candidate or the other. But looking at the home front and the economy (which to me is the biggest issue, along with social security), McCain doesn't seem quite up to the job, as Republicans had 12 years to fix the soon-to-be-broken situation. Also, failure to regulate subprime lending that then caused this current financial crisis is something that Republicans didn't see or didn't care to fix.As such, McCain and Republicans had their chance to fix it and threw up the proverbial brick at the free-throw line. I would at the moment be leaning to Obama (although I am not beholden to either candidate)...and this would have to do with the economy...not ideology, not the war in Iraq...but the basic bread-and-butter issues. |

McCain, however, is proposing something stupid in calling for a gas tax holiday...something Obama (correctly) wants no part of.Also, letting some...but not all...of the Bush tax cuts expire in 2010 isn't a bad thing...but that may not be the President's call (as much as it may be Nancy Pelosi and Charles Rangel's call in terms of committee and up-or-down). Probably it will, the government must have planned this. This is a major fallacy. Plenty of people in China still ride bicycles. You need to remember that while China's middle class (those able to afford cars) is steadily growing, most of the country remains poor. Also, food at "evil mcdonald's" in China is noticeably more expensive than the food that most people eat. A standard Big Mac in China will cost about 20 yuan; compare that with 4 yuan for a container of 10 jiaozi in a local restaurant. And it's spelled "Chinese", not "chineese". |
