Jeffries may have the good sense to avoid wasting time on another impeachment charge. Trump certainly has 34 lackeys in the Senate to keep him safe.On the other hand, I wouldn't be surprised if Vance organizes a 25th Amendment action. |

The Dems would be stupid to pursue impeachment, but they have never been known for their intelligence. It would be better to use subpoena power under the guise of corruption and wasteful spending so this way they can claim in 2028 that they have been trying to weed that out. |

The FBI investigated her use of a private email address while she was secretary of state. The FBI said in its findings in 2016 that classified information had been improperly transmitted, but she was not charged. She got away with "carelessness" but not an intent to break the law. I hope that James Comey got a nice Christmas present that year.Thats one big reason Trump beat Hillary in 2016. There was enough of a perception of where's there's smoke there's fire that put enough doubt about Hillary to have enough folks vote for Trump. Trump said in a NYT statement on why he didn't pursue the possibility of going ahead with charges? His reply was "Don't want to hurt the Clintons" and that was that. Like I said, She got lucky that she wasn't locked up, or at least charged. |

The self-dealing is there in plain sight. So are all the DOGE projects where programs were canceled left and right and workers laid off, only for them or replacements to need to be rehired again. |

There was massive precedent for prior offenses by others that were just like hers not being charged either. Remember that she set up her email the way she did because that's what her predecessor, Colin Powell, recommended. But yeah, Comey probably cost her the election. |

First and foremost, Comey got cold feet, straight answer. Lucky for her he was the DA. Secondly, Trump refused to peruse any further attempts at prosecution sayings that the Clintons have been thru enough. Luck part II |

What do you mean "he was the DA?"Comey didn't get "cold feet." He even announced an investigation into her like a week before the election. This may well have been the straw that sunk her campaign. I hope he gets what's coming to him; 86/7. |

Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley would both be better options than James Donald Bowman. I have not followed a lot of the state level Republicans so I reserve judgment in that regard. |

I would agree. But as James Carville said many years ago*, Republicans have a primary voter quality problem, so I suspect those two don't have much chance. * Actually, he was wrong. It's actually that the country has a Republican primary voter quality problem. |
