I don't know much about the topic, but I figured if they could be kept in the park where there is more shade, it could work out.The main complaint was that they were overworked in the heat. How odd that one horse died eating a poisonous wild plant. |

I remember they didn't seem too honest about the enforcement back then. We need more laws. |

Sad that they are trying to end a NYC institution and major tourist attraction that brings in serious $$$ to all involved. It was indeed tragic that that Indian tourist Romamch got killed when the horse got spooked and ran amok.But how many tourists got killed on those rides? I'm sure its much less than all those killed or hurt by all those electric bikes riding all over town. Lets ban them too no? |

He should care about all those soon to be out of work workers who are on the books and pay city income taxes. Serious $$$ will be missing from the city's bottom line , money that could be used to pay for all those free bus rides. As far as all of those soon to be occupants of the unemployment line, the MTA's offering to give them employment is the biggest amount of horseshit put out there just to appease the naive. I wonder if they'll arrange to have buggy whips in the T/O cab attached to the controller?? |
