A national treasure: the US Postal Service |
Posted by Peter Rosa on Mon Oct 19 13:24:04 2026 So this morning I went to the post office to send a letter - not a package - overnight. It’s going a distance of about 45 miles. It was $38, and “overnight” means they’ll try to deliver it tomorrow but can’t guarantee delivery until Wednesday afternoon. |

I just used it - $11.10 and 2 days to get to Philadelphia (though they say it might be 3 days).USPS Ground Advantage also gives you tracking and is a bit less expensive. |

Why are you trying to send letters overnight? What needs to be done that cannot be done via email?UPS can't even make such a guarantee, for double the price. |
