Christmas in September

It is 96 degrees outside today. I can no longer find Crocs in the color I want, or even sandals. (it won't even be cold for 3+ months)

But the department stores have their Christmas displays already set-up!

F Thanksgiving

Forget about the actual progression of the seasons.

I calculate that the xmas displays will be up for SIX months. Or only 2 months after Christmas in July. So we're up to a 7 month a year holiday.

If the day had meaning, it is very watered down.
