I don’t like Ross clothing stores |

Posted by Peter Rosa on Wed Sep 2 13:00:53 2026 Leave aside their unskippable 15-second ads littering You Tube, the company is a huge letdown. They claim to sell reasonably priced clothing for the whole family, but carry very little for men (TJ Maxx is another big offender). Based on the three stores I’ve visited my estimate is that no more than 10% to 15% of the selling space is for men’s clothing and footwear. And all three stores have been complete disorganized messes, things thrown everywhere. |

Wow; a whole internet in front of you and you don't do any research. They buy leftovers and sell them at discounted prices. They are more oriented towards the fairer sex, so men's section is often hit and miss. Funny how I was able to find stuff like that out even before I thought to consider even going to one, ain't it? |

They're mostly for women, HR women seem to love spending their time in fluroscent grey boxes that are a mess. I don't want to spend my time hunting through messy buckets of clothes in tight aisles where I cannot see anything.And I'm amazed how crowded Nordstrom Rack is, that's an upscale TJMaxx that is slightly cleaner. I've become a snob, and honestly, the most expensive store reputationally has the best clearance or prices in general. 75% off of a 100 dollar shirt is a good price. They're enjoyable, and I can see and find things. But don't get me started on the fact that a mall of 100 stores, 2 has a childrens department (one being a real department store), and maybe 5 left has any men's stuff. A few mens stores closed this year to make way for more womens only stores. I personally blame the men walking around in essentially underwear. |

Or how about the break down in the way men dress overall? Sports jerseys and capris rule the day now.I don’t wear any of the modern male paraphernalia so I shop at Macy’s. Ross Burlington Marshall’s TJ Macks are good for socks and drawers. |

Try buying pants that are 42x34 or shirts XXLT. Talk about stores not having anything even JCPenney Big and Tall section has very little and most stores have nothing. Have to go to the specialty store which is about DXL or King Size online and pay through the nose. 3 pairs of underwear $35. Jeans $75 and up. |
