New To The Ebonic Lexicon

Posted by TRAIN DUDE on Sat Aug 29 20:57:38 2026

In one of Jasmine Crockett's lurches to ghetto speech, my curiosity was peeked by one of the words she used. She said the word "finna" in her ghetto-like ramble. From what she said, I couldn't decide on its meaning. Has anyone else heard the word used and understood its context? I did finally look it up and now know what it means but cannot understand its derivation.

Yes, and I am sure it is made up like most of their language. Someone puts it in a song, and it becomes a word.

I used to like the songs where they made up a word, and then the entire song is them giving the definion of the word. Real art.
