FBI reports record decrease in 2025 crime

I think this is something you should read or listen about from your favorite news source.

For example, many who post here will like the NY Times version.

Others will like Fox News or Hugh Hewitt.

Anyway, the declines in crime showed just how much crime has dropped.

as every precincts' compstat unit has taught us, crime goes down when the books are cooked.

Yes, but supposedly the books started being cooked already in the 1990s. So even if half the crimes don't get reported, that's been going on for a long time, and a reduction in reported crimes means a reduction in actual crimes too.
