Posted by Orange Blossom Special on Sun May 31 13:27:46 2026 I should put a NSFW warning on this one. ---A Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA has slammed the erection of a ‘racist’ banner which claims Muslims are not welcome and has called for its immediate removal. The offensive banner was put up in a children’s play park in the village of Moygashel near Dungannon earlier this week and is being treated as a ‘hate incident’ by the PSNI. Sinn Féin MLA Colm Gildernew said there is “no place” in society for “racism”. “It is the responsibility of all political representatives and community leaders to strongly condemn this banner and call for its immediate removal”, he said. A picture of the display has been shared online, with an accompanying message posted on a Moygashel Bonfire Association social media page reading: “Call us racist, call us ‘far right’. Your labels carry no weight here. “Protecting our women and children is a fundamental duty that overrides any political label, insult or smear designed to silence honest concern. “We will never apologise for putting our women and children’s lives and well-being ahead of your political correctness. “Our stance is non-negotiable.” [Sinn Fein closely aligns with the PLO and Al Qaeda though, so go figure].
