Wrestling was 6:05 on Saturday night. He did this because he believed it was an advantage over other stations. Researched showed people got tired of a tv show after five minutes and would change the channel.

When Vinny Mac bought WCW,only the lower-tier top carders, mid carders and below appeared in WWF right away. They had WCW contracts. However, Hogan, Nash, Hall, Sting, Flair had Ted Turner contracts, which payed a lot more and they opted to sit out their high-paying contracts before showing up in WWF later on.
