Violent Subway Crime Up 8% Over Last Year

Posted by TRAIN DUDE on Wed Mar 11 21:41:32 2026

On 3/10 bairon hernandez from Honduras pushed 2 men to the tracks at the 63rd St. LEX.AVE Station
The 30 year old is in good condition but the 83 year old Air zForce veteran is likely to succumb to his injuries. He was charged with attempted murder pending alvin scumbragg reducing the charges to misdemeanor jostling. Of course I await AlM weighing in with comments about crime in the 70s and how few immigrants from Honduras ever commit crime.

I think subway crime is up because it was so cold and snowy in NYC, the mentally who usually are outside causing trouble, went underground and brought crime with them.

Yeah, that story from 63/Lex is terrible. And I don't think Univision and Telemundo locals will cover it now. Honduras is a very high crime country.

AlM isn't really into crime anymore. He's into exercise science, diet and nutrition, NYC history, chess, and other topics not related to crime.

Did you hear about the suicide on the F at Rego Park/63rd Drive?

Dude pushed 2 men in 1 incident?
You have to be impressed at that feat.

I'll be impressed if, as is likely extremely possible, that this becomes a murder case rather than attempted murder. Also, frim Honduras but as of yet, no report that he's here illegally and granted assylum by hochul

many years ago a motorman told me that 63/Rego Park was a hot spot for 12-9's because suicidal people know that it's a fast stretch of express track, on a downgrade (going to Manhattan), and the motorman has less of a chance at stopping.

I thought about that and where it would be most appropriate to post. In the end, this is about people being lied to. The connection to the subways is incidental.
