Where's Nancy?
Posted by TRAIN DUDE on Mon Feb 9 09:33:42 2026 Day 9 or is it day 10? As a preface, let me say that I hope that Nancy Guthrie is found alive and well and returned to her family. To be sure, the story in all it's permutations is heart wrenching. I can't, however, help but wonder, why Nancy? Why are we being subject to hourly briefings on the search, the landscape, the forensics, or the status of the ransom demands. Almost every morning I read on the electronic signs on the southern state pkwy. another Amber Alert or another missing Adult and yet they are never covered in the media nor does the president pledge the full resources of the US in finding the dozens or hundreds who go missing annualy. We certainly rarely are treated to the outcomes. Oh well, it is what it is.

Savannah Guthrie is a TODAY anchor and, well, so what? Heart-wrenching to be sure, and in all candor if I was the child, I would want it similarly covered, but yeah, what about the factory worker in East Chicago or the school custodian in Milwaukee or the wheat farmer in Kansas? Rhetorical question I know, but still...
