As long as he has Jessica Tisch as commissioner, he will be fine on crime. We'll see what happens if an event occurs where the role of some police officers has multiple interpretations. She will be tough on officers but won't shove them under the bus. We'll see if he supports her. |

Crime is way down because even criminals don't like to venture out in the snow and in subfreezing temperatures.Lets wait until July, with its 95 degree days and heat indexes over 100, when the criminals will be out in force. You're right about the snow and cold.January 2026 had the lowest gun and violent crime stats in NYC history. And February will top that mainly due to the cold and also it's a shorter month. |
