Skeletons in my closets!
Posted by Avid reader on Wed Feb 4 08:08:23 2026 This prolonged cold wave in the Northeast has kept me indoors and had us poking around in our closet's. Oh My God! We discovered out of date unopened boxes of cereal, Minute Rice both brown and white, oatmeal and boxes of cake mix. There are many articles of clothing Too! Much of the cereal and oatmeal has GONE to feed the birds already. The same for three large bags of clothing to the Church Thrift Shope. But now I need help from the Bird Brains on this site to get information on how the Cake Mixes can be safely feed to the birds. So, who's a bird friendly watcher as well as a subchater with ideas to help? Can Birds eat cake mix directly?

I do the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Since they don't advertise anymore, and there's no such things as Newspapers, I am the only home still donating. I wonder if the mail"person" even bothers with taking the bag.
