Law enforcement aren't supposed to stand in front of a vehicle they are confronting.But she turned her vehicle diagonally, and now the agent is facing the front of a moving vehicle. It was her move that put him in danger. I feel bad for the guy and I'm jealous of his hair. This is my insecurity. What's your insecurity? What makes you so insecure that you want to see an innocent man's life ruined? |

How about a fatal tragedy spurred by failure to obey DHS rules and PTSD?The woman was a total idiot and she also probably panicked. But one of the ICE agents violated a DHS rule that agents are not to try to stop vehicles by stepping in front of them. The agents also ignored the DHS rule that they are not supposed to try to arrest people for simple traffic offenses. And the agent who did the shooting had good reason to have PTSD from an earlier incident. |

He then fired two shots through the side window. I don't feel sorry for the agent. There are police officers who do wrong for whom I do feel sorry (like the officer who killed the fat guy who was selling loose cigs on SI), but not this guy. I don't tend to feel sorry for people who suffer professional consequences for things that they themselves did wrong, when those wrongs are so egregious. |
