THEY GAVE ME HELL GOING BACK BACK BACK BACK AND FORUTH OVER A YEAR I FOUGHT WITH THEM COSTING $$$$$$$$ GOING NOWHERE DEAD END LL THE TIMME ALL THE TIME DEAD END I GUESS I AM GROUNDED AND BANNED FROM GOVERNMENT NOTHING ABOUT THIS IS RIGHT I HAVE ORIGINAL BIRTH PAPERS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR CALIFORNIA REAL I D NOT GOOD ENOUGH FAIL I DO HAVE STATE AND I D CARD STATE ONLY NOT FEDERAL I HAVE BEEN KICKED OUT OF THE UNITED STATES ....... SNAKES ........ AT LEAST I CAN DRIVE CROSS COUNTRY AMTRAK $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ NO GREYHOUND FOR ME HA HOPE YOU CAN STIL GET YOUR REAL I. D. SO WRONG AT BEST THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING ........

I got my certified birth certificate from NYC at the Board of Health. I believe that birth certificate records are held at the county governments. Here's NYC's Dept of Health website for obtaining birth certificates. https://www.nyc.gov/site/doh/services/birth-death-records-birth.page There may be a caveat regarding what you get. My sister had problems getting a passport in California. They would not accept the NYC short form birth certificate - I had no problem getting my passport in NYC. I had no problems getting DOD security clearances in either NYC or Massachusetts with the NYC short form. I had to go down to 155 Worth St and get a long form birth certificate for her.

They sent back the originals, then the brain trust over there rejected the application saying I needed to send originals (because all they had left was the copies).

An old biddy behind me peeked at my drivers license and said that I would not be permitted to fly because i did not have the star on my license. She further stated that a couple, last week, was denied boarding for the same reason. I smiled and told her that they know me so they'll let me board. She got a little insessed but just replied "okay". Of course when we landed she insisted that i must have had a passport, which I didn't. The following day, on the return flight, she saw that again i was allowed to board without real ID. This time i showed her the American flag at the bottom of my license and explained the difference between Real ID & Enhanced ID to the old bat.
