JD Vance, Sunday, on Fox News:

This is largely a fake story. We continue to have with countries that we work with, we have relationships where sometimes their pilots work on our bases, sometimes that we train together, sometimes we work together in other ways. The reporting that somehow there’s going to be a Qatari base on United States soil, that’s just not true.

Qatar wants to be able to train its air force in the US because its own airspace is way too small for training. Singapore uses the US for training for the exact same reason.

What does Qatar need to train in an airbase for? Their boys did fine with paragliders 2 years ago at a concert.
