Some sort-of-good aviation news for New York, still not good enough |
|
Posted by Peter Rosa on Tue Sep 16 22:59:28 2025 Having overcome some operational difficulties United Airlines will be hiring 2,000 workers at Newark Airport. While that’s in New Jersey, as remote as North Dakota in the eyes of some New Yorkers, I have no doubt that other city residents will apply for those jobs. So it’s sort of a gain, I guess.Delta Airlines has announced two new European flights from JFK, to Sardinia and Malta. Neither location currently has direct flights from the US. Let’s not get too excited, though; the flights are seasonal, and therefore won’t make up for the loss of year round service to Brussels. |
