Maybe not the level of buff Bill Newkirk has in mind, but definitely on the spectrum of buffery. Oswald was young when living in NYC. He didn't have the finances to buff out on books and the subway. Oswald liked buses too. He shot at General Walker and escaped by taking the bus home. |

Honestly I don't know if he did the railfan window.Let's say that he did. If someone is joy riding and has his nose pressed up to the railfan window, I would say he is a buff. When Oswald was killed and officials investigated him, they found NYC Subway maps in his home or storage unit, and looked into it. They found out he liked riding trains and saved a few maps. |

After the assassination 17 separate witnesses came forward and said that he had been driving around South Texas several weeks earlier asking about jobs. While there was ample evidence conclusively placing him in Dallas at the time, the fact that he couldn’t drive meant that this man must have been someone else. |

To be a buff of anything I think you’d need a level of intimate knowledge that the casual fan doesn’t have which would require research and study. |

That would indicate a very good memory, which most witnesses don't have. |
