There is a mainboard thread about subway crime.

People don't understand crime and think we're "going back to the 70's and 80's". They are incorrect.

Truth is, NYC and the NYC subway are both safer than ever. Yes, there are streaks or crime rising. Yes there are some egregious crimes that make us wonder if we're safe.

But crime is way down in NYC and the subways and will never approach the high levels of the past. Not even close.
