Yes, I forgot about the Giannini Crew. It was an oversight honest mistake mental lapse call it what you will and for that I apologize. I heard Rosario's in Astoria makes good Calibrisella. I always wanted to stop by the Jackson Hole Diner off the Grand Central in Astoria after work but for inexplicable reasons never have.

Speaking of Jackson Hole, I saw that United Van Lines was adding extra service there from the East Coast over the winter using the Guppy. I guess along with Nuuk, Greenland they want to be the official carrier of snow.

Rosario's has the best fresh mozzarella in the world, or so it seems. Since I left Astoria in 1994, I have yet to find any that comes even remotely close. I found a couple of joints here in Florida where it's somewhat decent, but nowhere near the taste & quality of Rosario's.

I remember you once threatened to relocate from Tampa to Queens near Metropolitan Avenue and 116th either there or Yellowstone Boulevard underneath the Expressway Visual I can't remember which one it doesn't matter. Have you executed that plan and if not, why not? Answer the question.

I forgot to mention that, as part and parcel of this plan, you fully intended to relocate in conjunction with registering as a Democrat. I await your response as Admiral Nimitz awaited that of Admiral Halsey during the Battle of Leyte Gulf:

If anything, he should withdraw from the general election.

He'll win the general election if he can persuade Republicans to vote for him rather than Sliwa.

Not sure most Republicans are smart enough to understand that message, though.

I say Cuomo is now damaged goods because he literally lost a head-to-head with Mamdani.

IMO, between Adams, Cuomo, and Sliwa, the best candidate is Curtis Sliwa, but does not have the best chance of winning. That would be Eric Adams. For the sake of New York City, Sliwa, and Cuomo should both drop out, and support Adams.

Far from consistently true. See "The Most Detailed Map of the N.Y.C. Mayoral Primary" in the NY Times.

Cuomo beat Momdani in:

Tribeca
The heart of Greenwich Village
Most of the Upper West Side and Upper East Side
The expensive, glitzy, shorefront part of LIC
Riverdale

And Momdani beat Cuomo in Ridgewood, Woodhaven, Richmond Hill, Flushing, Dnset Park, and quite a few areas of Staten Island

Mamdani says if Netanyahu visits NYC and he’s mayor, he’ll arrest the Israeli PM for ICC

Posted by Olog-hai on Wed Jun 25 14:22:11 2025, in response to Primary, posted by BILLBKLYN on Tue Jun 24 17:20:27 2025.

JFeed

Mamdani: "If Netanyahu comes to New York, and I am mayor, we will arrest him"

New York State Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, a candidate in the 2025 New York City mayoral race, has sparked intense debate with a striking pledge: if elected mayor, he would order the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should he set foot in the city.

In a recent interview, Mamdani articulated a vision for New York City that aligns its actions with international law, even in the face of federal resistance and the United States’ non-signatory status to the International Criminal Court (ICC).

When pressed by the interviewer on what he would do if Netanyahu visited New York City during his mayoral term, Mamdani was unequivocal. “We will arrest him,” he declared. “Our values are in line with international law; it’s time our actions are also.”

The interviewer challenged Mamdani, pointing out that the United States is not a signatory to the ICC’s Rome Statute, which obligates member states to enforce the court’s warrants. Mamdani’s response was pointed: “It’s time we step up and make clear what we are willing to do to showcase what is clearly missing in the federal administration.”

The U.S. government, a staunch ally of Israel, has rejected the ICC’s warrants, with the Biden administration calling them “outrageous” and the incoming Trump administration issuing sanctions against ICC personnel in February 2025. Mamdani’s defiance of this federal stance highlights a broader tension between local progressive movements and national foreign policy, especially as the U.S. continues to provide significant military aid to Israel despite international criticism.

Mamdani’s critics also point to his broader views on Israel, including his support for the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement, which some argue he has downplayed during the campaign. “When Mamdani announced he would… arrest Netanyahu, he set himself up to be asked any & all questions about Israel. And his answers, frankly, stink,” one X user posted.
