TD - I'm about as far from a retired Florida Jew as possible - I live in Israel and all of my adult sons served in combat roles in the IDF - ant they're all currently called up for reserves duty. I've put more than my money where my mouth is - I've put my life and the lives of my family on the line, which I'd hope gives me some degree of license to express my view.Iranians on the whole are not radical Islamists - the government and its supporters are, but they're a minority of the population. Many others may not like Israel very much, but that's fine with me - as long as they stay away. Their dislike is not, for the most part, strong enough to motivate them to attack me. As to PA Arabs - I understand what you are saying about the world not being large enough for distance to be a protector. But there are two things - distance most definitely helps, and for many of them, being removed from the indoctrination immersion centers that are Gaza and the PA is likely to reduce the Islamist education they receive. The hope is that the next generation would not be the dedicated Islamists of the current generation - or at a minimum, enough of them would not be so as to make a difference. I have no problem with the deaths of enemy combatants - but I am not willing to slaughter a whole population, even one that hates me.
