I don't know about elsewhere, but at Union Square in NYC, protests tend to only get started after 5 PM.

There are also huge numbers of people who work, but their schedule is not M-F, 9-5.

And of course there are also protestors who don't work.

My point is, wiseass, that there are many, many people out there who seem to have nothing better to do than to pour out into the streets and cause trouble over issues they don’t fully understand.

As for your remark about me, I am a full time WFH employee with flexible hours. I have earned this right after 35 years on the job, riding the rails, sitting in traffic and pounding the pavement. You don’t know my schedule. But even I, with a flexible WFH schedule, don’t spend my time rioting in the streets and fighting law enforcement.

So shut the fuck up and shove your comments up your ass.

And how do you now that every protester doesn't have flexible hours, or doesn't have a standard M-F workweek, and so on? You got pissed off when I made an assumption about you, but what about your assumptions is so special that you are free to say whatever you want whenever you want?

Just to be clear, I don't advocate for what these protesters want, but is attacking them for appearing to not be gainfully employed necessary?

Do I have to spell it out for you? People who work a full day are not going out after work and fighting with cops. People who have worked a full day want to go home, relax, drink a few beers, watch some TV. Work makes people tired and irritable and they just want someplace quiet or some place to watch a ballgame with friends. The only people who are actively fighting police are those who don’t work and I want to know how all these “protesters” are supporting themselves.

I mean, what kind of question is this? Do I have to explain that work makes you tired? Next you’ll ask me why water makes you wet. Some people just like to argue.

The entire premise is faulty. You can’t prove to me that the riots are starting after 5 pm anyway.

People who work a full day are not going out after work and fighting with cops.

You and I don't, but there are plenty of people who work a full day and then protest peacefully. There are also, unfortunately, a fair number of people who work a full day and then fight with cops. And naturally there are also people who don't work but mooch off others, and then protest about how unfair life is.

Things aren't as simple as you make them out to be.

I'm not going to say I'm familiar enough with what is going on in LA to respond directly to your comment, other than to say a good friend of mine who lives there says it is mostly a nothing-burger.

I have no opinion of Gavin Newsom, I don't live in California and never have.

As I've said elsewhere, I'd take a comatose Biden over Trump and his administration of corrupt grifters.

There's a pretty big gray area between being a full time Hamas supporter and a supporter of "Trump and law enforcement, the military and the marines are in harm's way." I fall somewhere in that gap.
