I believe the terrain of the Dempster is less interesting than the Dalton. Also lower quality gravel road. The Trans-Taiga Road (which is what bingbong was referring to) is too much effort for the reward. True, you're going to the remotest place you can drive to in North America. But the price you pay is 360 miles (each way) of constant vigilance to make sure you don't damage your vehicle. But I have been thinking about the Trans-Labrador Highway. A circuit via Newfoundland sounds like fun. And the gravel section is now reduced to about 100 miles in Quebec. Got to do it in May when the icebergs are out and the mosquitos haven't hatched yet. |

One drawback of the Dempster Highway is that it’s not quite year-round. There are two rivers that do not have bridges, instead they have ferries in summer and ice roads in winter. For several weeks each spring and fall they cannot be crossed as the ice is too thick for the ferries but too thin to hold vehicles. |

EXPLAIN THAT MISERABLE ANSWER OF YOURS TO ME. As the Jews demonstrated in Poland in April of 1943 when the SS decided to clear the Warsaw Ghetto they could fight like hell because they took a few Nazi bastards with them before they were routed and sent to Auschwitz. |

Reading comprehension. The assertion that was challenged was that Jews owning guns might have prevented the Holocaust. Your own post disagrees with that assertion. |
