The reason I hate and never like to clear cookies. It sounds like a possible browser setting. You can have certain browsers (firefox I think, but probably all) automatically clear cookies or cache after x days. Likely in the same menus you did the manual clear at. You may be automatically clearing after 3 days. Or maybe you are like me and never turn the thing off but for after a few days. In that case, it is clearing after you shut down the window. |

I am running the current version of Sequoia on my 2025 Macbook Air M4 and seem to have run into a relatively minor problem on this site. On the rare occasion I clear cache/cookies, I realize I need to re-enter my handle and password and change the posting protocol if I choose and by that I mean as far as displaying a certain number of posts (day, 3 days, week, etc.). However, even when I do not clear cache/cookies, I notice after a couple three days the default handle and password is deleted forcing me to re-enter when posting and I also need to adjust posting protocol if desired since it defaults "back" to one day. I never had this problem with my earlier laptops/iPhone. Any help is appreciated.Seem the build of the web browser you are using stores the username and password in sbuchat's cookie and not the browsers username and password database. I use to have the same issue with Mozilla running in Microsoft Windows but never with Mozilla running Linux. John in the sand box of Maryland's eastern shore. |
